Jeremy Bakken is a senior director at LE&A and is responsible for managing a variety of accounts for the firm. With more than 17 years of professional experience, Jeremy offers clients a solid background in public relations and broadcast communications.
Over the course of his career, Jeremy has had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients serving a variety of industries including retail, consumer goods, office furniture, workforce development, home accents, textiles and public transportation. Jeremy offers a wealth of experience in strategic communications planning, media relations, special event planning and coordination, and community relations.
Prior to joining LE&A in 2005, Jeremy spent five years as an account manager for Straightline Public Relations, a full-service firm providing a wide array of marketing services to clients throughout the region. He was responsible for managing marketing functions, organizing community relations, coordinating special events and conducting media relations for a variety of local, national and international accounts.
Jeremy also spent two years as an account representative for The Midwest Family Broadcast Group where his duties included creating marketing strategies utilizing the company’s seven local radio stations for a wide variety of clients, writing commercials for broadcast, developing new business, designing advertising campaigns for clients, and coordinating public relations activities at the stations’ special events.
Jeremy is a graduate of Grand Valley State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations. He also successfully completed the nationally accredited Dale Carnegie Leadership Course. Jeremy served a three year term as an officer on the board of directors for the West Michigan Public Relations Society of America (WMPRSA) and as a volunteer marketing consultant to the Cherry Street Community Counseling Center. Jeremy also served on the board of directors for Celebration on the Grand for five years as the communications chair, and an additional three years as the event chairperson. Jeremy is currently an officer of the Wyoming Community Enrichment Commission (WCEC).
