Rob Dwortz brings 25 years of executive management, capital markets, business ownership and consulting experience to the leadership of LE&A and will lead strategy, operations and culture at the firm. Named to the president/partner position in 2017, Rob leads execution, culture and strategy at LE&A.
In addition to these efforts, Rob leads LE&A’s business advisory and consulting practice, after bringing his existing consulting business to the firm. LE&A’s consulting services includes strategic planning, operating tactics, leadership development, and transaction services. Rob’s specialty is in implementing “performance-based cultures” in order to transition businesses to become scalable and sustainable through generations. The performance-based culture strategy combines planning and operating discipline with accountability systems and incentives to empower and align decision-making within an organization.
Through his financial services career and experience as an advisor and operator, Rob brings a unique perspective to LE&A and its clients. He’s been exposed to diverse industries and has learned how to assess key performance drivers and elements of successful strategy. Rob offers this approach to each of LE&A’s clients, ensuring that marketing and communications strategies are consistently grounded in the bottom-line priorities of the business.
Rob joins LE&A from his role as a capital raising and business advisory consultant working with middle market companies and regional leaders in manufacturing, distribution, and business and financial services. He previously served as CEO of The Bank of Holland, a community bank serving the greater West Michigan market. Under his leadership, the bank grew assets and income 40% and 25%, respectively, leading to a successful sale to Chemical Bank. Prior to this role, Rob founded and led Strength Property Partners, a private equity firm based in Birmingham, Mich. and also spent 15 years in various transaction and management roles at banks in Detroit and Chicago, where he raised capital and advised clients in diverse industries and markets.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and earned a master’s degree with high distinction in finance and strategy from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Grand Rapids Label Company, West Michigan Community Bank and Midwest United Football Club.
