Jennifer Greenfelder


With more than 12 years of public relations and marketing experience, Jennifer Greenfelder brings materials and mobility expertise to her role as a director at Lambert, Edwards & Associates (LE&A). In addition to focusing on supporting and developing the firm’s automotive practice, her responsibilities include strategic planning and support, brand development, media relations, internal communications, event management, marketing communications initiatives and content management for a wide range of automotive and manufacturing clients, including Achates Power Inc., Colson Group, International Automotive Components (IAC), the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) and Spartan Motors.

Prior to LE&A, Jennifer served as the director of communications in the automotive market for Steel Market Development Institute (SMDI), a business unit of the American Iron and Steel Institute, in Southfield, Michigan. She developed and implemented strategic marketing and brand-development activities for the Auto/Steel Partnership (A/SP), a consortium of domestic North American automotive companies and sheet-steel producers, and SMDI’s Automotive Applications Council, including Long Products Market Development Group and the Strategic Alliance for Steel Fuel Tanks. Jennifer led A/SP’s Technology Transfer communication team and managed national and regional industry-event sponsorships, speaking opportunities, automaker marketing activities, advertising and targeted media relations and social media strategy development. She also led all communications, planning and implementation efforts for the largest steel-industry event, Great Designs in Steel, including speaker and exhibit sponsor coordination, media relations and social media efforts.

Before joining SMDI, Jennifer was a senior account executive with Troy, Michigan-based Bianchi Public Relations, where she supported several automotive clients by brand awareness promotion through media relations, social media efforts, developing and executing key messages, executive media training, event management and collateral items development. Prior to that, she worked at the former Mercedes-Benz Credit (currently Mercedes-Benz Financial) as a marketing communications analyst in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Wayne State University in Detroit. She is a member of the Automotive Press Association and was a member of the Detroit chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, where she co-chaired several committees.

Jennifer’s first job at age 9 was delivering newspapers, which led to her interest in public relations.
