Grand Rapids, Mich. – November 12, 2015 – Lambert, one of Michigan’s top-ranked public relations agencies and the state’s largest investor relations and public affairs firm, has expanded its Detroit and Lansing teams with the addition of Tracey Shavers, Jr. as a senior associate and Binh Brenda Duong as an associate.
In her new role at Lambert, Tracey Shavers, Jr. is responsible for event planning, media relations strategy and account management across Lambert’s diverse portfolio. Prior to Lambert, Shavers worked at MotorCity Casino Hotel where she was responsible for executing the entertainment destination’s media relations and publicity. Over her tenure at MotorCity, she managed PR for the regions first slot bonusing system, theater and event space Sound Board, and the only AAA Four Diamond restaurant in the city of Detroit, Iridescence.
Over the course of her career, Shavers has had the pleasure of working with several brands that represent various sectors including: banking, hospitality, automotive, government, non-profit, technology, retail, and regulated gaming. Shavers holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Wayne State University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications (IMC) from Eastern Michigan University.
Binh Brenda Duong served as an intern in the Lansing Lambert office before she was hired as an associate. Her day-to-day work includes media relations support through press release development and outreach. Duong also handles community outreach campaigns and social media content curation for clients in the educational and consumer services sectors.
Duong holds a bachelor’s degree in communication and specialization in public relations from Michigan State University. Prior to her internship at Lambert, Duong served on the executive board of the Asian Pacific American Student Organization for three consecutive years, leading one of the largest minority ethnic student organizations on campus. She also held an internship with the MSU Graduate School, garnering media coverage for Graduate Student Life and Wellness. Currently, Duong mentors and teaches young children through The Vietnamese Eucharistic Youth Movement, a non-profit worldwide organization. She is an alumna of Alpha Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc.
